What you are buying

Nora Fixes It: The Safe Home Handbook is a digital book in PDF format. Nothing is shipped. Your order is processed by Stripe, which acts as the merchant of record: Stripe handles the payment, any applicable sales tax or VAT, and your receipt. Right after payment you are taken to your download page, where you can download the PDF for 30 days. If you lose the page, write to us and we will send the book again. It is a one-time payment, not a subscription.

Your license

The handbook is for your personal use. You may keep it on your devices and print it for yourself, including the wall cards and checklists. You may not resell it, share the file publicly, or copy its text, illustrations or photographs for other uses.

About the content

The handbook shares general information about simple home safety changes and small repairs. It is not medical advice, and it is not professional, engineering, electrical or building advice. It does not replace a licensed contractor, an electrician, a plumber, an occupational therapist or your doctor.

You are responsible for deciding whether a job is safe for you to do. Always follow the instructions of the tools and products you use, and your local building rules. Do not work on electrical wiring, gas or structural parts of your home yourself: call a qualified professional. If you are unsure about a job, or about your own balance or strength, ask for help.

The changes described can reduce common risks, but no change can remove every risk. We do not promise any particular result, including that a fall or injury will be prevented.

Nora is the character who presents our YouTube channel and narrates the handbook. Her story, and her grandfather Walt's, is part of how we tell these fixes.
